This week’s Tuesday Photo Challenge from Dutch Goes the Photo is “delicious.” As a trained pastry chef, I really wanted to bake up something special and photograph it. But as a PhD student and adjunct professor who is starting term next week, I knew that was a bad plan.
So I decided to incorporate this challenge into my dinner run.
I don’t often go to Eataly–and I’ve never been to the downtown one–so I thought I’d treat myself on my last weekend of freedom and get dinner there.
If you’ve never been, I recommend it. Particularly the downtown location, which is newer and much larger than the Flatiron location. It’s basically an Italian-themed, high-end, gourmet market with a lot of prepared food and some mini restaurants.
Plus the Flatiron location doesn’t have a cannoli cart!
It’s pricey, don’t get me wrong, but it’s fun for a splurge. I mean look at all that beautiful food. Especially the desserts; even the panettone look delicious!
Mercedes, that is a fantastic post! I have been to Eataly in Boston, and seeing these great photos reminds me to go back.

Oh my god. This looks amazing Mercedes! And to think, I lived in NY for years and wasn’t aware of this delicious resource. đŸ™‚ đŸ™‚ Congrats on going for your Ph.D. AND being a trained pastry chef. That is such a nice combination. Sending you blessings, Debbie
